ABOUT STOMP
Stomp
brings a fresh experience to the art of dining. This newest
restaurant venue in Napa Valley, located in historic
downtown Calistoga, invites guests to savor all the culinary
wonders of Wine Country cuisine -- with its own sense of
French-infused flavor.
A
commitment to consistently high quality and excellence in
food and service is the hallmark of proprietor and
highly-regarded Southern California restaurateur Robert
Simon. He’s spent the last 15 years building Bistro 45
(located in Old Town Pasadena) into one of the top,
award-winning restaurants in the Los Angeles area. Now, he
brings that skill to the creation of Stomp, where guests can
be assured of the same high standards and personalized
dining experience.
The menu,
under the guiding hand of Executive Chef Chris Aken,
reflects the best of what’s grown or produced locally as
well as regionally, utilizing the finest seasonally-varied
ingredients. An extensive small-plate menu offers the
opportunity to sample a range of unique flavors, while
entrees present even more palate-pleasing options. To top
off a meal, guests can choose from a luscious dessert menu
or a savory cheese bar that provides a selection of 12
imported and 8 local cheeses.
An
exceptional wine list of over 350 choices is dedicated to
the Napa Valley wine maker and wine producer, with 40 wines
available by the glass. On the menu, pairing is made easy
with suggestions on what wine best accents your meal. And
if you want to bring your own wine, corkage is an affordable
$18 (waived if a bottle is purchased from the wine list).
With a choice of 2 oz. or 5 oz. pours or options to
purchase a ˝ bottle or full bottle, it’s easy for guests to
enjoy a special vintage or sample a different wine with each
course.
Stomp is
located in the Mount View Hotel, a 1917 Mission Revival
style building with a rich history of grace, style and
charm. Walking into the lobby, guests have the choice of
entering Stomp’s restaurant (to the left) or its Café and
Bar (to the right). The stylish interiors and airy elegance
of both spaces carry the touch of renowned California
designer Michael Berman. While the restaurant offers the
full scope of the dining experience, the Café and Bar
presents another option – a place to kick back, relax, have
a drink and make yourself at home. Patrons are able to
order off the restaurant’s menu in a more casual environment
and – on Thursday Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
– enjoy some great music, with such talented musicians as
vibraphone and keyboard artist Herb Gibson (featured Friday
and Saturday nights).
The
passion and dedication of Stomp’s entire team ensures a
memorable dining experience. Whether the warm welcome from
General Manager Kathleen Quinn or Floor Manager Christopher
Briseno-Morgan or the culinary flair of Executive Chef Chris
Aken and Sous Chef Brian Treitman or the attentiveness of
its staff – Stomp’s only objective is to make itsguests feel uniquely special.
